I have been loving it otherwise, though. I love watching families and couples interact with one another. I love being welcomed into someone's home to take photos of their everyday life. It leaves me feeling calm and happy.
It also leaves me with very little time, after parenting (my kids don't go to daycare), everyday life stuff, editing late at night, and so on. I wanted to shoot an entire session with my kids free lensed and post it on the blog, but I left it too late, and the past few days have just been rain, rain, rain. So this month, I am sharing some free lensed photos from sessions I've had. I am so grateful to mostly take photos of people I know, who trust me and allow me to try new things with them. It is hugely encouraging.
As an aside, I want to send out a huge thank-you to the other women in this blog circle. They are amazing, each one of them. Every time one of their photos pops up in my Facebook newsfeed, I stop and drink it in. They are masters of light, of emotion, of using flaws to emphasize the message. I feel like a little fish in a big pond, but it's thrilling and exciting to be a part of. Thanks, girls, for inviting me in and trusting me to add to your group. It has been a HUGE highlight of my year.
